Journey Together supports young people in Oxford through small-group youth work and early intervention. Focusing on those who are not in crisis but not yet thriving, our youth work practice is shaped by our ethos: we believe that there is something of unique and wonderful value in each young person we work with, and we want young people to feel known and accepted as they are.
While Journey Together is an emerging charity, our lead youth worker brings 20 years of youth work experience. Working with young people, we have developed programs to help build confidence, self-esteem, social skills, and resilience. We work with young people to create small-group communities where they can build healthy friendships and gain a sense of agency. By fostering communication skills and engagement with education, we aim to improve wellbeing, encourage positive choices, and support young people to flourish both in school and beyond.
In-School
Short Courses
With enthusiastic participation from young people and a warm response from school pastoral staff, our short courses have a supportive impact on young people’s engagement in school. We focus on young people in Key Stage 3, to help support and build on a positive transition into secondary school.
